Versatile 6" Grub! You can find grubs in every angler’s tackle box. Use them for almost anything. A grub works well in any scenario in freshwater and saltwater.
This soft-plastic lure has a ribbed body and a tail that forms a large curled “C” shape when it lies flat. As it pulls through the water while retrieving it, the tail creates motion and ripples that fish can’t resist.
Grubs are all fished in the same manner and sized according to the target species. They can be used weedless, but are most commonly used with an appropriately sized jig head and bounced along the bottom. Run the hook through the nose and thread down the body to hide the shank of the jig hook when rigging it. Or, for greater action, just hook it through the tip.
The hot pink/orange grub is a merthiolate color. Pro anglers often use this bait when bass are lying shallow and super aggressive during spawning season. While a bizarre color, it really stands out and is ideally used in stained water for spring fishing. Texas rig it weightless in weeds and cover or put it on a jig wherever you want. If the fish are ignoring your natural colors, try a shock color, mix it up!
