Lead Bank Sinker

Lead Bank Sinkers are standard surf sinkers and commonly used for fishing from the shore. They have an aerodynamic, teardrop shape which is perfect for long-distance casting. A great weight for bottom fishing. They won't get caught on a rocky bottom as easily as a pyramid sinker. With a teardrop shape, you attach your line at the top. The sinker will be on the bottom while your bait is above it.

Target species such as catfish, bass, stripers, trout, pike, snapper, sea bass, walleye, and other bottom fish.

Stronger currents or deeper waters require heavier weights. Our Rite Angler Lead Bank Sinkers are available in 1oz., 2oz., 3oz., 4oz., 5oz., and 8oz. sizes. When looking for longer casts, choose the heavier sizes. Never use more weight than is absolutely necessary to get your bait to the bottom.

There are a variety of fishing sinker styles to choose from as well as numerous ways for them to be rigged. Choosing the right type and size weight can bring instant angling success. Stronger currents or deeper waters require heavier weights. Lead fishing weights are an essential piece of terminal tackle. It's always good to keep a few different sinkers in your tackle box.
