The perfect cast net for live bait fishing from bridges, piers, docks, or the shoreline. The extra-long throw rope/handline means you can reach the bait.

You don’t need a boat to catch live bait with the Rite Angler Bridge and Pier Cast Net. With its extra-long throw rope/handline (50 feet) you can catch live bait from bridges, piers docks or the shoreline… with ease!

Everyone knows that live bait catches more fish. Now, with the Rite Angler Bridge and Pier Cast Net, you can catch more live bait, bait that was once out-of-reach of your old cast net… and turn those baits into more of your target species!

Most traditional cast nets are designed to be used by people who can get up close to live bait, often by boat. The throw rope/handline on traditional nets are usually between 20-30 feet long. This Bridge and Pier Cast Net offers you about double the length of throw rope/handline; meaning catching live bait from afar is much easier than ever.

This great value cast net features:

*Extra Long throw rope/handline: 50-feet gives you the reach you need to get to the bait.

* Double lead lines, one passing through the opening in the lead weights and another securing the lead line to the cast net's main strings

* Both heavyweight lines are attached at close intervals by durable nylon whipping threads

* Fast sinking means more bait in the net

* Heavy duty main lines from lead line to the horn and swivel to help resist breakage when snagged on the bottom, and assist in net retrieval

* Durable horn and stainless swivel

* Neoprene wrist-wrap for comfort and securely attaching cast net to the wrist

* 1 lb. per ft. weighting, which makes for a fast-sinking but easy-to-throw cast net

Water type:

Saltwater and Freshwater

Target Species:

Greenies, Shiners, Herring, Menhaden, Mullet, Sardines, Ballyhoo, Pilchard, Pinfish, Croaker, Shrimp

Bridge and Pier Cast Nets are circular nets with small weights distributed around its edge. They’re designed to help you catch small “forage fish” which you then use for live bait.

Throw the cast net by hand in such a manner that it spreads out while it’s in the air before it sinks into the water. Hold the throw rope/handline when throwing the net. When the net is full, a retrieval clamp, which works like a wringer on a mop, closes the net around the fish. The cast net is then retrieved by pulling on this throw rope/handline.

Casting is best done in waters free of obstructions. Reeds and structure can cause tangles and branches can rip nets. When throwing the cast net out into the water, use both hands, in a circular motion.

The Bridge and Pier Cast Net can be cast from the shoreline, from bridges and piers, docks or by wading. Our cast net will lay flat when properly thrown.
